TPU coated conveyor belts (thermoplastic polyurethane)
The thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) represent an excellent solution for the protection of conveyor belts surface against the high abrasion loss. The application in the mining industry all over the world have proven TPU superior properties over other materials. Compared with the standard rubber materials TPU wear protection linings ensure up to 20 times longer life time, then rubber linings.
The TPU coated conveyor belts will receive the best characteristics of TPU : excellent abrasion resistance, flexibility over a wide temperature range, high elasticity over the total hardness range, good resistance to oils, greases and many solvents, good resistance to weathering, freedom from plasticizers, good resistance to high energy radiation, good resistance to microbial attack. Desmopan is the trade name for TPU produced by Bayer Material Science AG.
TPU coated conveyor belts are used in temperature range [- 30…..+70]°C. The rubber covers according to DIN 22 102/1-91 or to the request of the customer.
